Visti to Sepang Gold Coast

We took the opportunity to bring ah-ma together when she visited us on 18th March 2011.

Mummy heard about this beach long time yet no time to go.

Some memorable photos we took there:

Danish running around freely:

Searching for baby crab:

Ah-ma, Danish, and mummy's foot :)

Close up photo:

The main thing - the beach itself! How can we forget about it haha...
To our surprise, there are quite many peoples when we visited it. There are also some water sport like banana boats.
Most of the people brought own food and picnic there. Not a bad place and it is near to KL. (even though we lost a few times following our GPS hehehe)

1 year 7 months

Today you're 19 months old. Time really flies...

You've already has your first 2 teeth on 14 months. You started to walk on the same month as well. Now you've got 5 teeths and you're running around.

Everyday, you're so energetic and cute. You now talk a lot. Calling Mummy, Daddy, ku-ku (become du-du), Ah-Ma, Gong Gong (become dong dong), Mak, Kakak, Baby, Abang, etc etc... You like to talk so much, every minutes every seconds chi chi cha cha talking talking and talking.
The first time you call 'Mummy' clearly, it was so touching. After taking care of you for 1 year plus, that is the first time I heard you called 'Mummy'. I love you so much my little baby.

We went back to Ah-Ma's house last weekend, to celebrate Gong Gong's 62th birthday. Everyone likes you so much because you make us laugh, you dance and you looks so cute!

When we're back from Melaka, daddy brought you to the playground near our house. There is a Kakak came & play ball with you. However, it seems like you don't like to share your ball with the kakak. Whenever the kakak came, you took the ball and run away. haha... my dear, you must share your toy with other people, to make friends... Mummy hopes you'll learn to share your toys with baby at the start, then to other people ya.

Le Le's progress

Recently Le Le started to learn whatever word mummy teaches you. Like "Bird-Bird", "Mei-Mei" (Beautiful), "Miao-Miao"; and Le Le already can said "Nen-Nen" (Milk), "Mam-mam" (food or mummy) clearly.

But, Le Le still do not have any teeth yet.... Le Le already is 11th month now...

This month 27/3/2010, we're going back to Melaka to celebrate Le Le's 1st birthday. Time really flies, it is so fast that Le Le is one year old now.

Mummy is searching for Le Le's birthday cakes now... trying to get something special for you my dear.

Sleeping... NO... XXXX

Recently (this week) mummy is taking care of Le Le alone night time till daddy comes back from work at around 10pm. At the same time mummy has to cook.

From Monday (1st day) till Thursday, Le Le was just fine & easy to take care. When you're hungry, you finish the cereal; when you're sleepy, you fall asleep in 10 mins time in your spring cot.

Last night was a terrible night. Not sure what happenned, you just don't want to sleep. Mummy put you in spring cot for 30 mins, sing the 'Twinkle twinkle little star' until sore throat, you still don't close your eyes.

Then at night, mummy try to sooth you to sleep at 10:30pm as usual. But till 12:30am you're still not fall asleep. Mummy is exhauted!!! What happenned to you last night???

With no choice, mummy is asking for help from daddy who is watching TV to sooth you to sleep in your spring cot again.... Then mummy fall asleep like a dead fish upstair without knowing what time both of you join mummy in our bed.

I certainly hope you'll be better tonight. Mummy can't imagine how to take care of you alone without daddy when we go back Ah Ma's house tomorrow without daddy. Please don't do it again...

Redang trip on 2009

This is Le Le's first island trip. We went to Redang Island during Hari Raya time. One of the reason is Daddy is missing Redang Island too much. Mommy also enjoy the trip as can escape from everybody & thinking to have a relax moment...

Some how Le Le is sick during the whole trip. So mommy only stay in the hotel room with Le Le the whole trip. Then come out to "jalan-jalan" in the evening. First time went to island but not touches the sea water at all!

Crawling...

It has been quite some time mummy didn't post anything... Due to busy at work & at home. Time just not enough after having you :P

These 2 days you started to push your body up in all-4 position. It is the beginning of crawling...

Last Friday mummy just bought you a walker. Wow ^ ^ you're standing so straight & strong inside the walker. Did not sit in it at all.

Now either crawling or standing, you get to your destination without help happily. So mummy gonna keep all the dangerous thing in our house for your safety...

Amaze with your development & really thank god fo such a wonderful gift (that is you)...

"Pu-Pu"

You learned to "Pu-Pu" with your mouth... It looks like you're progressing in the correct phase. :)

Now whenever you're free (Hah, you should be always free, 'cos you're not working also...), you'll do "Pu-Pu" with your mouth. When we warn you not to do that, you'll smile to us. You looks so cute you know, making Daddy & Mummy tak sampai hati to scold you...

These two days you also do "Pu-Pu" during nen-nen time. Aikssssssss, like that how to drink nen-nen ler?

Luckily you still manage to drink a lot of nen-nen these two weeks, mummy notice your weight is increasing as when we carry you, we can feel the weight. Last time when you was sick, really can't feel your weight.

Pity Le Le is Sick...

ouo.... pity Le Le, fall sick last Saturday till Tuesday. Having fever 37.5 degree celcius, flu & a bit of cough. It is so worrying as H1N1 is spreading so fast in M'sia now...

Le Le only finish 1 oz of breast milk on every feeding. You don't like milk but is fine with plain water pulak. Lucky also, at least you're not de-hydrated.

You were crying when you woke up from sleep, should be due to your body not feeling well as having fever.

During this period of time, you're so manja. Stick to mummy. Even after you're sleeping, you still know mummy walk away & you wake up & cry... You can smell mummy izzit? Clever boy.

Today you've recovered from fever, mummy hope you'll recover from flu & cough very soon my dear...

Ok, after the photo session, here are some opinion on the usage of Toys in early childhood learning:

1. Educational or learning baby toys are geared toward stimulation of the five senses – sight, sound, and touch in particular. E.g. toy blocks, rubber animal toys, small mirrors, and musical instruments without sharp noises.

2. Another learning aspect toys encourage is playing one on one, whether with a parent or another child, and this can contribute to physical, social, and emotional development.

3. Toy play can encourage imaginative and fantasy play. E.g. a cardboard box. One day the box was a train. Later in the week it morphed into an ocean liner. Children eagerly discover what had happened to the large cardboard box over night. Wonderful interactions took place inside the ever-changing box.

4. Security feeling. E.g. with a soft toys, baby can hug & feel security and be able to sleep on his own.

Even with so many benefit of toys, but we still need to consider the Safety of the toys before giving it to baby.

What to look for:

a) Always follow all manufacturers' age recommendations. Some toys have small parts that can cause choking, so heed all warnings on a toy's packaging.

b) Check to see if the toy meets the series of standards on toy safety developed by Department of Standards Malaysia & Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs.

c) Make sure the toy is unbreakable and has no sharp edges. It should be large enough that it can't be swallowed or lodged in the throat.

d) It shouldn't have any small parts such as eyes, wheels, or buttons that can be pulled loose, and it should be strong enough to withstand chewing.

e) There should be no parts that could become pinch points for small fingers.

f) There shouldn't be strings longer than 7 inches (18 centimeters).

g) Homemade toys should be carefully evaluated. They may not have undergone testing for safety.

SAFETY NOTES: Never give balloons or latex gloves to a child younger than age 8. A child who is blowing up or chewing on a balloon or gloves can choke by inhaling them. Inflated balloons pose a risk because they can pop without warning and be inhaled. In addition, never give your infant vending machine toys, which often contain small parts.

Last but not least, thanks to PhotoBookMalaysia & AliceWonders for the contest prizes..
